International invitation program

The Center is linked to puppetry of the world in various ways.
From 1987 to 1997, the Center organized an international puppet festival in a number of cities in Japan, introducing puppet shows mainly from Western countries; as a result, there were total of 56 companies from 20 countries, including Italy, the Netherlands, France and the United States, etc.
Since 1993, the Center invites Asian puppet company every year; from traditional group to modern theater. So far, the invitees were 15 companies from 11 regions including India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, China, etc.
